Directions Copyright 2008 Ted "Smitty" Smith Be sure to put the presentation in Slide Show Mode. This will activate the timer once you click on this slide. Each slide will transition to the correct answer automatically in 2:00 minutes. The correct answer will transition in 15 seconds. When you come to the slide with a Stop Sign, the timed portion will be done. Click on that slide to progress through the same questions without the timer. ONCE YOU ARE DONE WITH THE TIMED PORTION: VERY IMPORTANT: TAKE THE TIME TO ACTUALLY LOOK UP EACH OF THE ANSWERS> EVEN THOSE YOU KNEW THE ANSWER TO> PART OF THE DRILL IS TO TAKE YOU REPETITIVELY TO THE SECTION OF THE NEC YOU MAY NEED TO USE FOR THE EXAM. SOME THINGS TO REMEMBER Receptacle and switch locations for dwelling units are found in 201.52 + and minimum branch circuits for Dwelling units are found in 210.11(C). All dwelling units must have a minimum rating of 100 A regardless of the calculated load. Single Family Dwelling Load determinations are made based on Article 220 Sometimes loads are listed in amperes and volts and you will need to convert them to Watts or Vas by using Ohms Law. P=I x E Sometimes loads will be listed as Motors with only a voltage and HP. You will need to determine the Ampere rating first using the Tables in 430. 430.248 and 430. 250. Then you will need to use ohms law to determine the VA. SOME THINGS TO REMEMBER Copyright 2008 Ted "Smitty" Smith
