Contraceptives Ethinylestradiol + levonorgestrel (tablet, 30 mcg + 150 mcg): prevent pregnancy. Combines 2 hormones: levonorgestrel (progestin) and ethinyl estradiol (estrogen). It works mainly by preventing ovulation during your menstrual cycle. It also makes vaginal fluid thicker to help prevent sperm from reaching an egg (fertilization) and changes the lining of the uterus (womb) to prevent attachment of a fertilized egg. Besides preventing pregnancy, birth control pills may make your periods more regular, decrease blood loss and painful periods, decrease your risk of ovarian cysts, and also treat acne. Using this medication does not protect you or your partner against sexually transmitted Ethinylestradiol + norethisterone (tablet, 35 mcg + 1.0 mg) combination birth control pill made up of ethinylestradiol, an estrogen and norethisterone a progestin. It is used for birth control, symptoms of menstruation, endometriosis, and menopausal symptoms. Other uses include acne. Levonorgestrel (tablet, 300 mcg) prevent pregnancy after birth control failure (such as a broken condom) or unprotected sex. This medication is an emergency contraceptive and should not be used as a regular form of birth control. It is a progestin hormone that works mainly by preventing the release of an egg (ovulation) during your menstrual cycle. It also makes vaginal fluid thicker to help prevent sperm from reaching an egg (fertilization) and changes the lining of the uterus (womb) to prevent attachment of a fertilized egg. Using this medication will not stop an existing pregnancy or protect you or your partner against sexually transmitted diseases (such as HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia). Levonorgestrel (tablet, 750 mcg) Medroxyprogesterone acetate (150mg in 1 ml) belongs to the class of medication known as progestogens. It is used to prevent pregnancy. It works by preventing a woman's egg from completely developing. It also thickens the mucus around the cervix, making it harder for sperm to reach the egg. also used to treat endometriosis. Depo-Provera is given as an injection every three months. Norethisterone enanthate (200mg/ml in 1 ml) progestogen-only injectable birth control which is used to prevent pregnancy in women.[1][2][3] It may be used following childbirth, miscarriage, or abortion. hormonal contraception and progestogen-only contraception that are administered by injection and providing long-lasting birth control Male Condoms The condom is a form of male contraception.
