These things are fun and fun is good. ~ Dr. Suess CLASSROOM NEWSLETTER Week of April 22-26 WE WILL BE WORKING ON: Reading: Students will conduct a read aloud and stop periodically to make inferences. Students will use their strategies to comprehend what they are reading. Phonics: Schwa, wh Writing: Students will be writing expository and procedural texts. Math: Students will complete assessment 25 Students will identify and count 100’s, 10’s, and 1’s Students will write fact families (9,4,13), (9,5,14), (9,3,12) Students will represent numbers 500 w/pictures Science: Students will discuss how animals differ and young animals often resemble their parents. Social Studies: Students will complete Earth Day Activities, and discuss spend or save money ~Special Notes~ Spelling words: We will have a spelling review. Sentence of the week: The wind made the trees sway. HFW: often, every, very Comprehension story: Students will have a comprehension over “Whistle for Willie” Please bring $10 dollars for Field Trip! Please remember to fill out the parent survey! We would love your feedback! DON’T FORGET!
