These things are fun and fun is good. ~ Dr. Suess CLASSROOM NEWSLETTER Week of March 25-29 WE WILL BE WORKING ON: Reading: Students will identify techniques used in a commercial using sounds, movement or visuals to convey meaning. Students will use a newspaper to discuss specific text features, pictures, and other visuals. Phonics: Kn, gn, and wr Writing: Students will draft compositions and include the use of pronouns. Math: Students will take written assessment 22 Students will count dimes, nickels, and pennies Students will identify fractional parts of a whole Students will graph tags on a bar graph and write observations. Students will measure and draw line segments to the nearest centimeter. Science: Students will learn about parts of a plant and what they do. Social Studies: Students will review money and trade using the classroom store. ~Special Notes~ Spelling words: knee, sign, wrist, knock, write, they, from, have, give, was Sentence of the week: I hurt my knee.
