Explorers of the Age of Discovery Introduction You have heard of Christopher Columbus and Ferdinand Magellan, but did you know that there were many other influential people before and after these men who dared to dream and in doing so change how people viewed the world forever. The purpose of this WebQuest is to achieve a general understanding of some of the most influential figures during the very important period of time known today as the Age of Discovery. Your Task Introduction Your task is to explorer and log, in the order of their occurrence, several important facts about 20 of the most influential explorers during the Age of Discovery. Once completed, you will participate in a “Who am I?” explorers game in preparation for a final quiz on the explorers you have studied. The Explorers Game & Quiz Introduction Explorers Game Form teams of 2-4. The teacher will provide cards with the explorers name, date of their accomplishment, and a brief summary of what they accomplished. Teams are to take turns drawing cards and reading them aloud (read everything on the card but the name of the explorer). The other team will try and correctly match the explorer to the information provided.
