Welcome to MyYogiMat! Hi, I'm Danielle and this site was created with the goal of helping you pick the best yoga mat as a beginner or even as someone who's been practicing for a while. I've spent many years, a good 25, seeking a path to peace and wholeness. I've always done some type of exercise and while it fed my body, it didn't bring the peace I was seeking. Enter Yoga! I had always found some sort of excuse to avoid this beautiful practice...I can't quiet my mind...it doesn't really work...I'll get dizzy hanging upside down...etc. Finally, I gave in, found a studio and joined. Whew!! But then I needed to find my supplies and that's where I struggled...what mat should I buy, how much should I spend, what will others think of my mat choice (being really honest here). I did some searching on line and didn't find the help I was seeking so impatiently purchased what I thought would be the best mat for me.
