75% of the earth’s surface is water. Without water we could not survive.

Four Characteristics of Water color clarity salinity taste

Water is the lifeblood of organisms Water is the lifeblood of organisms. Nutrients are distributed and waste products are removed.

How do we use water?

Most of the earth’s fresh water is at the North and South poles in the form of ice.

Important to know!! The amount of water has stayed the same over millions of years, however the form or state of water is constantly changing.

The sun is the driving force of the earth’s weather The sun is the driving force of the earth’s weather. The major source of energy which powers the water cycle is the sun.

We use our water from: springs creeks lakes streams rivers oceans

Two classifications of water Salt water is found in oceans and fresh water is our primary source of drinking water.

The water cycle has no beginning and no end.
