TEXT AND GRAPHICS MANIPULATION By: H. Cruz

Microsoft clip Organizer Contain drawing, photographs, sounds, videos and other media files – called clips that can insert and use in presentation, publications and other Microsoft Office Documents. Clip Art is a command on the Insert menu that opens a task pane, where can search for clips.

Microsoft clip Organizer (cont..) Clip on the Web – can be used if your Internet connection is open; clip art Online Web site. To add Clip Art Click Insert  Picture  Clip Art from the menu bar

To Insert an Image from a File Select Insert  Picture  From File on the menu bar Click the down arrow button to the right of the Look in: Window to locate the image you want. Click to highlight the filename from the list and click the Insert button.

Editing a Graphic Activate the image you wish to edit by clicking on it once with the mouse. Nine Handles appear around the graphics. Click and drag any of these handles to resize the images.

To select Picture toolbar Click View  Toolbars  Picture from the menu bar to active.

Insert picture – displays the image selection window and allows to change the image. Image Control(Color) –allows creating the image grayscale, black and white or a watermark. Contract – modifies the contrast between the colors of the image

Brightness – darkens or brightens the image Click Crop – and drag the handles on the activated image to delete outer portions of the Image Line Style – adds variety of borders to the graphics.

Text Wrapping – modifies the way the document text wraps around the graphics. Format Picture – displays all the image properties in a separate window. Reset Picture – deletes all the modifications made to the image.

Autoshapes Allows to draw different kinds of geometrical shapes, arrows, flowcharts symbols, stars and Banners on the document. Click Insert  Picture  Autoshape or View  Toolbars  Autoshapes

Lines – draw straight lines, arrow or double-ended arrow Lines – draw straight lines, arrow or double-ended arrow. To draw a curved line or freedom shape, select curved lines from the menu. Connector – gives variety of connect that use to link one drawing to another

Basic Shapes – list basic shapes like rectangle, parallelogram, diamond and others. Block Arrows – choose from many types of two and three-dimensional arrows. Free rotate buttons on the drawing toolbars to manipulate direction. Flowchart – list the basic elements use in drawing a flowchart

Stars and Banners – select from stars, bursts, banners and scrolls. Call Outs – select the speech ,thoughts bubbles, and callouts. The call out text may enter inside the text box made. More AutoShapes to choose from a list of clip art categories.

Tables and Borders toolbar The tables and borders toolbars allows to add borders styles, shading, text effects and more options for tables. To access the toolbars click Table  Draw Table or Click View  Toolbars  Tables and Borders
