What is handed out at school Remember to go to the bathroom before bed the night before Cup Container Things to be aware of when taking a urine sample: Please do not drink juice or take medicine that contains vitamin C the night before taking the sample as it may affect the test results. Be sure to urinate before bed the night before taking the sample. Take the sample right after waking up in the morning. Urinate a little first before urinating into the cup. Put as much urine from the cup into the container as possible. Put the lid on the container tightly. It is not possible for girls to take a urine sample during or within two days of menstruation. Please consult with the school nurse or teacher in charge to arrange another day to submit the sample.
