Issues related with energy storage and alternative energy Erasmus+ Project 2017-2019

Why we use high voltage and low current for long distribution of electricity?  1) High voltage allows you to transmit a lot of energy increasing efficiency with minimal losses

2) Current is supplied to end users at low voltage 2) Current is supplied to end users at low voltage. Usually, in homes and businesses, electrical appliances operate at low current. The reasen is the obligation to ensure the safety of users: high ang medium voltages pose a serious risk and could lead to accidents, including fatal electric shocks.

P=i2r – what does it mean … P ~ power                                            I  ~ electric current                                 R ~ electrical resistance  U ~ voltage  From Ohm's law, we can get :         U = I*R      =>      P = i2r Formula for electrical power in DC electrical circuits :                P =U*I

Benefits of solar panels for local use electricity and distribution. Reducing electricity ald heating bills; It is one of the most environmentally friendly energies; The process of generating electricity from solar panels does not consume large amounts of water; Ensures a high level of energy security for the user's independence;

Political issues surrounding using renewable energy. 1) First of all, you can't use renewable energy when it's possible that this source of power could dissapear in the future. The best example for this sentence is hydropower. The government will not accept plans related with building hydroelectric power plant in the area where it is hard to find any source of water or it's likely that in the future the residents of this area won't have water. This is a common problem for farmers because they use it to water their plants.

2) Building things and places where you can produce renewable energy is really expensive. We can’t say that about every source of power but most of the renewable energy comes from buildings which cost a fortune. Just look at this picture! The biggest project connected with water is the Three Gorges Dam. As you can see, only the richest countries in the world could afford to build things like this.

3) Sometimes politcal issues refer to an area where we want to build our power station. The government can't accept an idea that renewable energy source will be placed near the dangerous places. It's not correct to build a hydropower station near contaminated rivers or you can't build windmills where there are many birds or bird farms. Additionally, windmills make a lot of noise so you can't find any in cities.

4) Internal system of renewable energy production 4) Internal system of renewable energy production. Some countries are trying to make their own system. They want to form this project using their benefits. What is it all about? Imagine a country where almost everywhere is water. People who live there don't need solar farms, windmills etc. They need to focus on hydropower stations. This could be a political issue because people in places like this won't build other power stations. They'll have enough energy but they won't think about the future or natural diseases and they'll waste a lot of other energy like wind energy.

5) The worst behaviour of governments in some coutries is that they don't see any point in changes. They use old methods and non-renewable energy.  Saudi Arabia and other places in the world where there is a lot of oil and fuels are examples of this situation.  Administration doesn't think about the future, just here and now. They have a lot of money, a lot of energy but they need to think about the future. It's really bad for our Earth. Just in case you forget: renewable energy sources are much better for our environment.
