Aims: to educate about the effects of sleep deprivation to show an unbiased and realistic demonstration of one week of sleep deprivation to intrigue and to make emotional connections

Genre Reality TV. Except it’s not complete trash. a hint of the scientific ACCURATE
Layout for the most part, first-hand document of the feelings and experiences of sleep deprivation intro and outro: former indicates what I am planning to do, latter indicates what can be taken away from the experiment occasional narration with slight recaps: new facts mixed in with what just happened, and what will happen sections divided by the days spent awake; “Day 1”, “Day 4”, etc. tests of cognitive and physical ability each day: playing scales on piano (dexterity), counting backwards (maths cognition), rhyming (linguistic & pattern cognition)
What’s different? “Conventional”? Ew, no. I’m unique and different, just like everybody else! vlogs, personal YouTube videos, anything not made by a large corporation
Format in keeping with the style of documentary, YouTube is best audience reach likes, dislikes, comments, etc. allow for improvement in future products, and allow for more accurate determination of success 1080p @ 30 FPS for near-universal acceptance on digital platforms
Cast, crew, shipmates, aharrr! me outside experts (doctors, scientists) are not necessary all filmed by the subject (me) for previously discussed accuracy reasons reduces costs
Locations no locations specifically required; whatever happens happens most likely home + college (+ outside?)
Equipment & budget camera capable of recording 1080p30 (college have) camcorder with night vision mode (already have, downside only SD, not HD, also 25 FPS, but manageable) tripod (already have, other version college have) microphone (already have) budget max. £10; all equipment readily available; this is a safety budget should something go wrong
Concerns no legal concerns ethical concerns about state of mind during experiment; will I be able to make accurate judgements about my own wellbeing?
