Mitosis

Relevancy Have you ever wondered how your body heals itself when you get a cut or sunburn? Or how your grow? Today we will learn how your body does that through a process called mitosis!

Unicellular Organisms Organisms with one cell The one cell must perform all life functions Examples: Amoeba, bacteria

Multicellular Organisms Organisms with many cells Cells are specialized to do different jobs such as brain cells, skin cells, etc.

Chromosomes Structure in the nucleus that contains hereditary material (DNA)

Gametes A reproductive cell Formed in meiosis Example: sperm cell, female egg cell
