International North South Transport Corridor (INSTC) INSTC is initiated in 2000 by Iran, Russia and India connecting Indian Ocean and Persian Gulf to Russia via Iran; The INSTC was expanded to include eleven new members, namely: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine, Belarus, Oman, Syria, Bulgaria (Observer); INSTC can reduce the time and cost of transport by 30-40%; ---- Previous Route (Transit Time 40 to 60 days) ----- INSTC Route (Transit time 25 to 30 days)
India acceded to TIR Convention in June 2017 TIR became operational on 15 August 2018
TIR contributes to the activation of the INSTC corridor = the gate to Iran Turkey Russia Afghanistan All CIS countries All Central Asian countries All the EU Countries
Digital TIR is key on activation of the INSTC Corridor
