Siobhain McDonagh This was the name of the lady who gave us a tour around the houses of parliament. She was a member of parliament.

Instead she has to walk round the back. Royal Family Did you know, that the queen isn’t aloud to walk between the houses of lords and the houses of commons. Instead she has to walk round the back.

The Security There were millions of policemen with rubber bullet rifles. They haven't used them since the 1900s. If you got hit by one it would hurt a lot!

The Suffragettes There was a group of women called the suffragettes who wanted to vote in elections but because they were women they couldn’t vote. The leader was a women called Emily who hid in a broom cupboard in the back of the chapel. In the chapel there was no electricity and there were lots of spiders!

The Way They Vote When you hear a bell you have eight minutes to get into the building because that is how long it takes for the prime minister to get to the houses of parliament from number ten Downing Street.

The Damage When the houses of parliament got damaged the two lucky winners got to rebuild the houses of parliament but someone called Winston Churchill said “Leave the rest damaged.”Then people will know What happened to the houses of parliament.
