Rules – Franz List’s recital You have to travel around the game board to get to Franz Liszt’s piano recital. By doing that you have to roll the dice, and answer the questions. But watch out for “sticky keys”. If you land on them you’ll lose a turn. First person to reach Liszt’s piano recital wins! For ages 10-110 2-6 players

Early life Facts Born in Raiding, Hungary on October 22nd, 1811. His family approved of his music. His father, Adam Liszt, was his first piano teacher. He was an outstanding piano player. When he was young, people compared him to Mozart. He gave his first concert at the age of 12. People that influenced him were Niccolo Paganini and Richard Wagner.

Music Facts Instrument he played was Piano. Wrote music for Church. Wrote 350 original works. Wrote lots of symphonies. He was awarded a ceremonial sabre. Some of his most famous works are Hungarian rhapsody #2, Mephisto Waltz #1, and La Leggieriezza He gave concerts for when the great fire of Hamburg happened to create aid for the homeless.

Other Facts Lived most of his life in Vienna and Paris. His wife was Marie d’Agoult. He had two daughters, Blandine and Cosima, and a son, Daniel. His son-in-law was Richard Wagner. He was buried in Alter Friedhof, Bayreuth, Germany. He died on July 31, 1886 in Bayreuth, Germany of pneumonia.
