Creative-writing competition

Alex Brychta, the illustrator of these books, is a supporter of Norfolk Welcomes and he has offered to draw an illustration for the winning story in this competition! Refugee rights is an issue close to Alex’s heart as you are about to discover… When you were learning to read did you read the Biff, Chip and Kipper books from the Oxford Reading Tree?

Would you like Alex to bring one of your stories or poems to life Would you like Alex to bring one of your stories or poems to life? Then get writing!

The winner of this competition will have an accompanying illustration for their work created by famous illustrator, Alex Brychta. Several runners up will also become a part of The Friend Ship & Norwich Schools of Sanctuary Story Collection. To enter, write a short story, poem or comic strip of no more than 500 words – add illustrations if you’d like to – and give it to your teacher before July 19th. Your work must show the importance of welcome, kindness and treating others as you would want to be treated.
