Why do we know about these things? How and where do we learn about them? Choose an example and write about where you first learned about it, used it or saw it.

Globalization

Why does Globalization happen? What are our ideas?

Free trade across the world means people can move their produce from their own country to a new country (exporting), and can buy produce from other countries (importing). It also means big businesses like Macdonalds, Starbucks and Nike find it easier to open shops and factories across the world and bring their product to everyone. Better transportation means produce can be moved easier, quicker and cheaper than before. It is more profitable to do this than it was in the past. Better communications, like phone lines, mobile phones and most important of us, the internet, have changed the way we communicate globally. Being able to communicate quickly and easily means ideas, cultures and opinions spread much easier. Labour costs are lower in places like India and China. This means it is more profitable for companies to produce products in these countries. Now you: For each of these points, write an example that you know about. Think about places you shop, or places you have been.

Is Globalization a good thing? Write some pros or cons
