Let’s make martenitsa Pizho and Penda

We need Red and white yarn A cardboard – the same size as dolls Scissors

1. Cut the white and red thread about 60 cm long and make knots in one of the points they finish. 2. Twist them together following one direction. /right or left/ When the thread becomes tight enough you can stop and fold it so that the knot is placed in the middle.

3. Wind red yarn for Penda, about the card (40-50 times). And twisted red and white thread, insert at the bottom. 4. Then tie the twisted cord.

5. Take the scissors and cut the winded yarn at the bottom. 6. Take a red thread and twist it to make the head and the neck of the doll. Make another knot and mix the ends of the neck with the other threads.

7. Separate the down part of Penda in two equal parts and a little piece of red yarn(wind it 15 times about the card) put between them. 8. Now you can take a piece of white thread and dress Penda in a way you prefer.

9. To form the Penda's hands, mix the upper ends with another red or white thread and tie them. 10. Cut the ends carefully. And Penda is ready.

At the same way we can make Pizho from white yarn. Use the red thread for his body and legs. These are our dolls Pizho and Penda.
