The purpose of this research portfolio is to continuously add to it throughout the year as and when you conduct research for your productions.  It should include: audience, market & production research.  Periodically you will be instructed by your lecturers when to add relevant research evidence into this portfolio Introduction

QUALITITATIVE Production Research You need to research appropriate possible locations to film your advert at. You need to collate various photographs of a selection of possible locations & annotate these images, noting down the pros & cons of each.   You also need to research what crew you will require and what their availability is for filming. Present their availability & contact details in a table.  Finally, research which equipment you will require to record your advert. You must collate photographs of the kit you will need & annotate the key functions of each item will offer & the purpose it will serve. You also need to research the availability of each item and present this information in an appropriate table.  QUALITITATIVE (Primary)

QUALITITATIVE Market Research Watch & deconstruct a minimum of two TV adverts that either are selling the same/similar product as the one you are pitching for or one that uses a filming/editing style that you hope to execute in your own production.  Capture relevant screenshots and annotate your thoughts & observations.
