3 Introduction 3 SID A (Rev04 01/09) The safety information database allows for a quick search of safety notices relevant to your parachute equipment. This is a task generally left to reserve packers and riggers, however, the passage of information within the industry is not as good as you would expect. Use this database to confirm that your personal parachute equipment is free from any known safety issues. After youve completed your search, dont be afraid to print the results and show them to your reserve packer or rigger, to ensure that any items listed have been dealt with. If youve paid for a skydivers registration you can get further advise from Skydive Safety about your specific concerns. If you find this database beneficial then please let other skydivers know, so they can check their personal parachute equipment. Thank you for your interest in Skydive Safety

5 User Manual A (Rev05 12/2010) Registration 1.Complete the form and make a note of your log in name and password 2.Select your registration a)Free b)Skydiver 30 3.Select Submit Registration 4.Free users will receive an with confirmation and log in details 5.Skydiver users will be redirected to Paypal,and after payment you will receive an with confirmation and log in details

6 Logging In

7 Switchboard 1.After you have logged in you will be taken to this switchboard. 2.Before you start a search for safety information you will need to select Equipment Profile and add your parachute equipment details to the database. 3.After you have completed your equipment profile you can then select Search For Safety Information

8 Add Equipment Fill in the form and select Save Profile You can change the details at any time and select save profile when you replace your equipment

9 Searching 1.Now your equipment profile has been completed and saved, you can select Search For Safety Information 2.The Upgrade Registration allows you to upgrade to the skydiver, business or rigger registrations 3.The Update Registration Details allows you to change your password, address etc

10 1.Choose your equipment profile name from the pull down list 2.Select Hide Duplications 3.Select Search Database Searching

11 Search Results 1.This is a small selection showing 2 of the 35 safety notices for this complete rig 2.The safety notices can be arranged by column order, just select the column to re-arrange the search results 3.You can print out the complete list of safety notices to discuss with your reserve packer and keep with your equipment documents 4.Select View to read the safety notices

12 Viewing the Safety Notice 1.This is an example of a manufacturers safety notice 2.You can print the safety notice to discuss it with your reserve packer 3.You can ignore it knowing that your rig has all relevant stitch patterns in place

14 Printing Profile Reports 1.To reduce administration it will be very helpful to everyone if a report was printed out for each parachute system so the next reserve packer doesnt have to repeat a customers profile search. 2.The reserve packer can then sign and date the report so the next reserve packer can just check that there are no new safety notices that have been issued.

15 Printing Advanced Reports 1.The same can be done with an advanced report on any single product.
