Zimbabwe Situation In Zimbabwe, disruptive innovations have swept across all sectors of the economy, leaving behind several casualties, chief among these, the slow learners and those resistant to change: Zimbabwe recently witnessed the rise of mobile money and digital payment solutions which have increasingly been embraced across the world. Technology is shaping the way capital markets are being operated and is making it easier for both capital markets intermediaries and investors to seamlessly interact. However, Zimbabwe’s capital market is still coming to terms with ever advancing global trends in technology. While there are significant advances towards capital market automation initiative, more efforts are required to keep pace with the global trends.

Outlook Technological advances will continue to reshape capital markets’ operating models and service delivery paradigms over the next several years. Massive technological advances will revolutionise the capital market landscape. Information flows is becoming seamless, borderless, instantaneous and almost costless. Technology has become a key driver of speed, information availability, efficient customer flow and converging products and services. Capital markets shared infrastructure and services is now a reality.

Mobile & Online Trading Markets and market places internationally are harnessing technology and conceiving strategies that ensure that their target market is catered for and fully integrated in e-commerce capabilities.
