HSS023 – Student Voice Options Appraisal February 2019

Project Scope Review the currently used feedback methods and document the as-is processes for class representatives. Produce set of requirements that meet the needs of the different user groups. Assess suitability of Learn, Microsoft Teams and Unitu to meet these requirements. Production of options appraisal and recommendation report.

Requirements Capture Review the currently used feedback methods and document the as-is processes for class reps. Work with stakeholders to produce the 'future state' for the two key users; Students and Programme Reps. Produce set of requirements and user stories that meet the needs of the different user groups.

Learn Summary Fulfils Requirements Existing, familiar tool Small / medium development Development roadmap means August 2019 start at the earliest

Microsoft Teams Summary Very open, written for collaboration New tool although familiar look and feel Unknown development path Could commence a pilot in the near future

Unitu Summary Specifically written for Student Feedback Functionally more rich than the scope of this project Expensive £1.50 - £4.00 per student Disappointing feedback

Recommendation Initial pilot using Microsoft Teams Depending upon the result of the pilot continue with Teams or move to Learn
