What do you see. Imagine you were trapped in a room with the wolf What do you see? Imagine you were trapped in a room with the wolf. How would you feel? What does the wolf symbolise?

Putting you in the room with the Wolf! Learning Objective:- To build independence in when your in the room with the wolf! To understand and mine an extract for literacy techniques. The Victim- will be able to find one strategy to survive in the room against the wolf! The Hero- will be able to use a variety of strategies to survive in the room against the wolf! The Slayer-will be able to lead the group away from the wolf and are able to defeat it!

The 5 minute escape plan! Spend three minutes on this task working independently. Now spend 2 minutes comparing and developing your ideas with your group. There is an emergency clue in an envelope if you require it. Use it only as a last resort!

Reflection and Evaluation How has this task tested our independence? How have we used strategies to help us in the situation with the wolf? Do you feel you led your group and why? How would you improve your attitude when faced with the wolf next time?

In groups read the fable from Angela Carter`s collection The Bloody Chamber. 1.Focus on your text independently- How did it make you feel? Did you struggle with any words? Did you understand all of it? What did you do to help yourself? How did you overcome these challenges? 2. Explore the text! Re-read the text with your group. Break it down into three simple parts- relay it back to ensure you have the structure of the story.

In groups read the fable from Angela Carter`s collection The Bloody Chamber. 3. Analysis Consider what is actually happening in the text? The mood and tone presented? Mine the text for literacy devices and the effect the writer is trying to convey to the reader.
