“Disruptive Innovations – Attraction vs “Disruptive Innovations – Attraction vs. Promotion: The Way Forward - Growing Regional Transition Crosswalks” A Mindset to Stay the Course Organizations, systems and leaders are being challenged working with limited resources and learning to “doing more” with a broader base of connected people. This panel will focus on resilient, healthy connections as key elements to building and sustaining collaborative partnerships. Inside/Out Transition Process Community College Correctional Facilities Regional CPTS Network Outside-Based post-secondary certifications and vocational degrees. Life Skills-2-Work course is designed for students with personal and interpersonal adversity and challenges. Course focuses on resiliency-building tools, empowering self-talk, the learn-to-learn process, values and self-control. It also provides relationship building and reconciliation tools. Also focuses on work preparation, familyhood skill-sets that are purpose-driven Inside-Based Education & Training EBR CBT Curriculum. Designed for pre-release adults who need a customized Transition Plan & process with a focuse on wellness, work preparation and familyhood skill-sets E-cross-walks to nine state-wide community partner platforms that connect adults in transition from prison & jail to solutions to meet their housing, treatment, education & training, employment, LFOs/Child Support and basic supports needs. CPTS care teams are people who are committed to the 2nd chance opportunities for these adults. Arr Transition Navigator: Student assessment and inter-personal case management with focus on Transition Solutions, College Options and PREP/GO2WORK – completion and retention. Transition Solutions: Process of barrier removal by working with a local community care teams and partners 22 College Options: Short-term training certification prof-tech certs & degrees, (pre) apprenticeship placement in the construction trades PREP/GO2WORK: Portfolio preparation and development with access to over 400 local 2nd Chance employer exchange Transition is the Process… Reentry is the Outcome… The Way Forward!

Transition is the Process… Reentry is the Outcome… The Way Forward! Life Skills 2 Work Skills 2 Pay the Bills Stop the Turnstile Steps 2 Freedom 30 Instructional Hours. Cognitive-Driven Curriculum. Designed for students with challenging and re-occurring thinking and behaviors. Course focuses on awareness, habits, choices, and health. Also provides a framework for establishing a “new norm,” work preparation, and work ethic. 44-60 Instructional Hours and results in six college credits. Cognitive-Driven Curriculum. Designed for students struggling with personal and interpersonal adversity and setbacks. Course focuses on resiliency-building tools, empowering self-talk, the learn-to-learn process, values and self-control. It also provides relationship building and reconciliation tools. Course also focuses on work preparation, work ethic, and purpose-driven planning. 20-24 Instructional Hours. Cognitive-Driven Curriculum. Designed for students who have struggled with the re-employment process. Course focuses on work preparation and work ethic. Transition Navigator / Coach: Student assessment and inter-personal case management with focus on Transition Solutions, College Options and PREP/GO2WORK – completion and retention. 22 College Options: Short-term training certification opportunities, pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship placement. Statistics – Performance Outcomes 72% of students who completed the LSW Prep/GO2WORK process at SSC did not reoffend 3 years post-release 27% of students who completed the LSW Process continued their professional technical certifications and/or their AAS with South Seattle 44% of students who completed the LSW Prep/GO2WORK at SSC achieved and maintained employment with a living wage Upon 1 year of release statistically 12% reoffend – with the Graduated Reentry Grant Process through DOC, of which SSCC is a part of, the number is at 6% Statistics – Performance Outcomes
