3 Pillars of Effective Men’s Groups Dr Shahieda Jansen Clinical Psychologist (HPCSA) Dr. Jansen’s strengths-based, male - friendly approach maximizes the transformative potential of the participant-healers of men’s groups. Whether it is a young man learning to relate to his peers; a hurt teenager facing off with his inner pain, or an aggressive man acquiring non-violent interpersonal skills-the point of departure is to work with the manhood code, not against it. STW can be broken down into 7 capacities: Explicitly wanting and seeking change Humility to own the problem Courage to introspect Interpersonal skills to socialize with others Work ethic or action orientation Submission to the purpose of healing Accountability for all actions Contact Details www.groupsforafrica.co.za Learn through belonging groupsforafrica.co.za
