Project Plenty

What is Project Plenty? Project Plenty is the  name given to the whole-of-Synod future visioning exercise that commenced at the 34th Synod in Session.  The purpose of PP is developing a shared vision of the future, understanding the present and closing the gap to ensure the resources of the church are used towards the mission of God.  Through this process we are turning our collective attention to a question we should never stop asking: How can we as one church contribute most effectively to God’s mission in Queensland and the world?

Intro: What is project plenty – changing world, changing church Intro: What is project plenty – changing world, changing church. One church. Draws on TOTWEC. Builds on planning done in different parts of the church through aligning. Looks to next five years concretely and out to 2030 conceptually. Not producing a concrete plan, but more like a framework that will help our ongoing discernment and decision making in the years to come. Builds on our commitment in Basis of Union to be open to God’s constant correction, and to being the church through fresh words and deeds We’ve essentially broken Project Plenty into four phases: startup, listen & discern, refine and test, commit and launch (35th Synod)
