LI Parish council’s work this year 2018 - 2019

Hello! We are Long Itchington Parish Council We work voluntarily on behalf of this parish and its residents Here are some of the things we have done over 2018/19…

Supported efforts to raise funds, design and install the new War Memorial…

Held the very first Long Itchington Community Awards…

Supported the launch of a new village Neighbourhood Watch Group and helped with a property security marking event…

Sent 129 emails out to our list of 400 residents, launched 1 new LIPC website, delivered 6,600 LI Diaries, reached over 1,000 people via our Facebook page, and delivered 200 Welcome Packs to new residents…

Responded to over 40 planning applications, gave out grants to 10 village organisations, and stopped buses attempting to go up Stockton Road!

Opened a new car park at the Community Centre…

Progressed our Neighbourhood Plan – we held 2 community consultation events…

Lobbied Severn Trent on behalf of residents to sort out a recurring sewage problem…

Supported the refurbishment of the Community Centre…

Refurbished the Green End and Short Lane play areas…

Reunited a lost dog with its owner – via our Facebook page!
