Pronunciation How good should a learner’s pronunciation be? What do you think your pronunciation is like? What pronunciation problems do you think you have? What do you understand by the phrase “comfortably intelligible”? What’s the difference between “hearing” and “listening”? For you personally, is it more difficult to produce English sounds or to understand them? What do you understand by the phrase “connected speech”? What do you think the word ”exposure” means, in terms of learning a language? How does studying pronunciation fit in with other elements of language learning eg writing, literature etc.? How are you going to organise your study of this course material?
