EX: Writing down important information helps students listen more closely and provides good material for review. 4. SS: Another way to improve grades is to participate in class. 5. EX: Sharing ideas and answers during class discussion not only helps a student to stay alert during class, but leads to better understanding of material presented. 6. SS: Perhaps the most important step is to attend class regularly. 7. EX: Missing class often causes students to miss key information or explanations that prevent them from knowing how to complete assignments. 8. CS: Using good study skills pays off in improved grades and in better understanding.
