May Choice Board Activities Days of the Week/Months of the Year Please complete TWO activities each week. Literacy Activities Digraphs Search for words that begin with digraphs (sh, th, wh, ch). What words did you find? Sight Words Practice writing your sight words in sand or shaving cream. Read a Book Read a book with someone. After you read, tell about the beginning, middle, and end. Writing Write a story about something fun you did this month. Remember to use spaces between words, correct capitalization and punctuation. Math Activities Numbers 0-30 Write your numbers 11-20. Use your neatest handwriting. Read the numbers to an adult when you are finished. Subtracting Practicing adding numbers while you eat a snack. Example: 6 crackers take away 1 equals 5 crackers (6-5=1) Money Find some nickels and practice counting by 5s. How much money do you have? Try the same thing with dimes and count by 10s. Shapes Make 3D shapes (cone, sphere, cylinder, cube) out of play dough or clay. What shapes slide? What shapes roll? Fine Motor & Life Sills Sorting Help a grown up put dishes away. Help sort the silverware. How many spoons did you put away? _________ How many forks did you put away? __________ Tying Shoes Practice tying your shoe laces. Phone Number Tell someone your phone number. (Your parents cell phone numbers too!) Days of the Week/Months of the Year Practice telling someone the days of the week and the months of the year.
