COMETS!!! BY: KENZIE ROBERTS

WHAT ARE COMETS MADE OF ??? Comets are made mostly of ice (water ice, as well as carbon dioxide, or "dry" ice, and several other types), and rock , they are often called a dirty snowball!

comets come from the kyper belt and oort cloud!

Did you know a comets tail is always facing away from the sun! This happens because the solar winds blow the tail back!

There are two different types of comets! Short period Long period Under 200 years These orbit the sun every 200 or more

One of the most famous comets is Halley's comet Astronomers believe that this well known object has been noticed since 240 B. C. and made its most famous appearance in 1066 A. D.

QUESTIONS!!! what is a comet made of? Why is the tail of a comet always facing away from the sun? What are the two different types of a comet? What is the name of the most famous comet?
