For us, Written Task 1 will be based in literature, not language. Written task 2 was language based. Word count: 800-1,000 words for your task plus a 200-300 word rationale You may base your Written Task 1 off of any of the following texts below we’ve studied. Your Written Task 1 must be grounded in a literary text. These include: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn The Great Gatsby Fences The Things They Carried What is Written Task 1?

Questions to Consider 1. What type of text do you plan to write? 2. What literary text will you focus on? 3. How can you show your understanding of the author’s style in a creative way? What approach will you take? 4. How do you think your written task will show the examiner that you understand the text? All of these questions are the starting point for your rationale. Everyone must submit 3 ideas for Written Tasks for approval. DUE JUNE 10th to TURNITIN.COM Questions to Consider
