Classroom News Week of August 20th A Peek at the Week Mrs. Scott cscott@usd365.org A Peek at the Week Upcoming Tests and Assignments August 24th-Week one homework page due. The page includes the spelling list on one side and some math practice on the other side. The test over the spelling words will be Friday, August 24th. The words will also be written in your child’s planner. Please take time to study before the test. Writing/Grammar: -Complete subjects and predicates -Narrative writing(descriptive) Reading: -Context clues -Story Structure -Summarizing Science: -Engineering- How do we define a problem? Math: - We are beginning chapter 1 over addition and subtraction within 1,000. Spelling: -words with short vowels Social Studies: -What does it mean to be a good citizen?
