Your Timetable A copy of your course timetable can be found on your course resources page sent to you by email. Classes will take place across the campus. Ambassadors will show you your classroom during the tour.

The Handbook Please read the online handbook carefully. The Social Programme WEEK THREE MONDAY - Trip to Warwick for all WEDNESDAY – Optional evening trip see School of Rock in the West End FRIDAY – Farewell reception Some tickets left for all additional trips. Casey will email about trips and making payment, can pay online or directly in cash to us.

The Guest Lecture Programme We have arranged eminent and high profile speakers for our guest lecture programme. Each lecture will take place from 5pm – 6.15pm in the Hogan Suite followed by a drinks reception until 7pm in the SU Bar. All lectures are part of the teaching programme

The Student Card This card is simply to identify you on campus If you wish to use the sports centre or library, please show this card and ask to join Every Summer School student has an card.

IN THE REF Students at SMU on a B&B or full residential package: You use your wristband in the Refectory. Your wristband gives you access to the points you are allocated for your breakfast, lunch and dinner. 7 points per meal which must be used in one go and for each meal – they don’t accumulate. Gold wristband – Grey B&B,– full board Cash and credit/debit card can also be used in the Ref.

MEALS ON CAMPUS Refectory Opening times Breakfast: 8.00am-10.00am Lunch: 12noon-2.00pm Dinner: 5.45pm-7.30pm Meals include drinks (from your points) Welcome Dinner, Curry & Quiz - no refectory meals Day trips – packed lunches, early breakfasts and late dinners will be provided where necessary

EATING ON CAMPUS/NEARBY Dolche Vita Café (can’t use points here) Waldegrave Arms Pub, Teddington - www.thewaldy.com (is the nearest pub, just down the road, left out of campus)! Strawberry Hill – Sopa Thai restaurant Teddington/Twickenham – lots of options to choose

FACILITIES Library Open Mon – Fri 8.15am – 9pm, Sat 11am – 5pm and Sun 12noon – 5pm You can borrow up to 4 books if required You will be able to print and photocopy in the Library by buying printer credits Sports Centre Open 6.30am – 10pm Monday to Friday, 8am – 8pm weekends Chaplaincy Centre Open every day 9am – 5pm.

LOCAL AREA There are a number of supermarkets nearby including Bill’s Mini Supermarket, Tesco Metro, Sainsbury’s Local, Budgens and M&S Nearest Pharmacy – Teddington Memorial Hospital, Hampton Rd, Teddington TW11 0JL Nearest Walk in - Strawberry hill pharmacy – Wellesley parade, Twickenham TW2 5SQ Teddington and Twickenham are the nearest villages with lots of nice small shops Kingston and Richmond are larger towns just a short bus ride or train ride away

PRACTICAL INFORMATION: Cleaning in Halls De Mac – every other day between 10am – 12noon. Doyle and Clive every week day between 10am – 12noon. (Beds made if clear of items) Washing Clothes and Campus Launderette We have a launderette on campus where you can wash and tumble dry your clothes. Stay with your clothes whilst they are in the machines. Please do not wash or dry your clothes in the accommodation  

PRACTICAL INFORMATION: Maintenance If you experience any problems in your halls please contact Casey in the first instance   Specifics There are some more specific instructions on staying in the halls so please read the handbook.

Practical Information: Fire Safety: In case of fire, go to nearest fire exit and meet outside the halls near the Athletic track. Fire safety test in week one.
