Collaboration between labour inspectorates and other agencies in Lithuania
What are we talking about?
Undeclared work is : Work without employment contract or other contract within the framework of the law; Work in unregistered companies or companies working without special licences; Work without business certificate or within the framework of the law declared individual practise; Work in the companies going into outlaw business.
Control and prevention of undeclared work by law is delegated to the 5 institutions: State Labour Inspectorate under the Ministry of Social Security and Labour Financial Crime Investigation Service under the Ministry of the Interior State Tax Inspectorate under the Ministry of Finance Police Department under the Ministry of Interior State Social Insurance Board of Lithuania
Government of the Republic of Lithuania committed State Labour Inspectorate to co-ordinate controlling actions of undeclared work controlling institutions.
While co-ordinating actions institutions implements: Information exchange; Joint undeclared work control raids; Educative action about disadvantages of the undeclared work.
All undeclared work controlling institutions can execute protocols of the contravention of the administrative law.
Central Co-ordination Group which analyses the undeclared work appearance reasons The head of the Central Co-ordination Group is The Chief State Labour Inspector Central Co-ordination Group has sessions 3 –4 times a year Central Co-ordination Group annually sets priorities of the undeclared work inspection
The main task of the Central Co-ordination Group is to analyse and emphasise undeclared work appearance in the country, predict and approve measures for it’s control implementation and decrease its extent.
In the regional level control and prevention of the undeclared work is handed by the regional co-ordination groups
