ATATÜRK ORTAOKULU TOKAT/MERKEZ   Period: November 15, 2016 – March 15, 2017

1.We have 6 classes involving 8th grade (8-A, 8-B, 8-C, 8-D, 8-E and 8-F) and the class 8-F has the tendencies of absenteeism. It is obvious to see the failure in both their lessons and social life. We have decided to choose these students to join social and sport activities in order to motivate themselves and drop the absenteeism in this group. They played volleyball once a week with their English teachers.

2. Science teacher chose 4 students in 8-F to prepare for the TEOG exam. These four students felt themselves more successful after getting extra science lessons.

3.Science teacher also made some experiments with students and they enjoyed it very much.

4. The director chose 20 teachers who are volunteer to guide successful students. These volunteer teachers had some meetings with their parents at the school and contacted via whatsup group. Teachers informed them what responsibilities the students had in a day. It led the parents to control their sons and daughters easily.

5.These chosen successful students guide the unsuccessful students in 8-F in order to help their grades in lessons and their social life. They directed self-study and showed how to search the net for useful pieces of information. They learned a lot of things from their peers, too like being constant in study efforts and how to apply knowledge in real life conditions.

6. Teachers organized some trips for successful and unsuccessful students together. Unsuccessful students felt themselves more self-confidence and easy with their friends and teachers. It led the participation to the tasks, getting over shyness, cooperating with peers and teachers.
