Oh, What a Saviour That He Died For Me CCLI No. 11100572

Oh, what a Saviour that He died for me! From condemnation He hath made me free; “He that believeth on the Son” saith He,   “Hath everlasting life.”

the Lord hath said, “Hath everlasting life.” All my iniquities on Him were laid, All my indebtedness by Him was paid; All who believe on Him, the Lord hath said,   “Hath everlasting life.”

“Verily, verily, I say unto you;” “Verily, verily,” message ever new “Verily, verily, I say unto you;” “Verily, verily,” message ever new! “He that believeth on the Son”—’tis true!—     “Hath everlasting life!”

Though poor and needy, I can trust my Lord; Though weak and sinful, I believe His word; Oh, glad message; every child of God   “Hath everlasting life.”

Though all unworthy, yet I will not doubt; For him that cometh He will not cast out: “He that believeth”—oh, the good news shout!   “Hath everlasting life.”

“Verily, verily, I say unto you;” “Verily, verily,” message ever new “Verily, verily, I say unto you;” “Verily, verily,” message ever new! “He that believeth on the Son”—’tis true!—     “Hath everlasting life!” [REPEAT]

Christ’s Resurrection Matters Affirmation of the resurrection Instruction concerning the resurrection

1 Corinthians 15 5 He was seen by Peter; the Twelve. more than 500 of his followers;  James; all the apostles;. I also saw him.  13  …if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised either…

19 …if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world. 20 in fact, Christ has been raised everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life.

Christ’s Resurrection Matters Affirmation of the resurrection Instruction concerning the resurrection Exhortation regarding the resurrection

Exhortation the hope that is ours presence of the “Comforter” Christ’s Expectations

The Resurrection gives meaning to our faith and belief.  The resurrection gives meaning to your hope.  The Resurrection gives meaning to our love for one another.

The resurrection gives meaning to our suffering.  The Resurrection gives meaning to death.

The Hope That Is Ours Because Christ is alive, we have a certain hope that carries us through life on earth to heaven above. Where there is no hope in the future, there is no power in the present. John Maxwell

Blessed be the God and Father 1 Peter 1 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, He has caused us to be born again…

…to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading,  kept in heaven for you…

The Hope That Is Ours •  With hope, we are optimistic about the future  • With hope, we live with eternity in mind

 • With hope, we sleep in confidence  • With hope, we look for every chance to share with others “the reason for the hope within us.” Unknown

The Presence of “the Comforter”  John 14 15 “If you love me, obey my commandments.  16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate,  who will never leave you.

who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive Him,  17 He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it isn’t looking for Him and doesn’t recognize Him.

because He lives with you now But you know Him, because He lives with you now and later will be in you.

Christ’s Expectations Jesus’ expects His followers to: fulfill His commission remain “in Him” be expectantly watchful do “greater things”

and even greater [works], because I am going to be with the Father. John 14 12 “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in Me will do the same works I have done, and even greater [works], because I am going to be with the Father.

Jesus did not mean greater in the sense of more sensational, but greater in magnitude/number.

Jesus would leave behind a victorious, working family of followers who would spread His kingdom to more people and places than Jesus ever did in His life and ministry.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, the [one] believing in Me, the works that I do, also that one will do, and greater [than] these he will do, because I to the Father of Me go.”

Dr. Michael Youssef

When sin has taken you farther than Remember the Resurrection! you ever meant to go and caused more pain than you ever thought you could bear…   Remember the Resurrection!

when financial burdens are great and temptation even greater… When broken relationships threaten to undo you or the pain of your doctor's diagnosis weighs heavy on your soul — when financial burdens are great and temptation even greater… Remember the Resurrection!

The resurrection of Jesus opened the door for hope to come in. Now, because of what Christ has done for us…

…we can have hope instead of despair, peace instead of worry, freedom from the entanglement of sin, and grace for all our days.

One thing is required, though, All of these things are true and are available to those who follow Christ as Saviour and Lord of their lives. One thing is required, though, Submission!

through being obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Submission to Christ through being obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart!

Romans 6 12 …do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.  13 And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin…

…but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
