Presentation transcript:

PERSPECTIVE A particular attitude towards or way of regarding something; a point of view.

What do you see?

What do you see? A Duck? A Rabbit?

What do you see?

What do you see? An Old Woman? A Young Lady?

Look through a different lens…. •We each have a perception of ourselves; who we think we are •Do others see you in the same way? •How do you want to be to be perceived? •By taking time to consider things differently we may make different choices.

Problem Solving using perspectives •Lots of leadership books talk about looking and listening before solving a problem- after all we have 2 eyes and ears each! •By looking at a problem from an alternate view it may be easier to solve •Try to apply this in lessons; use your strengths to help you apply a new perspective to your learning…

•If you are a drama student, use your skills of learning lines to help recall key facts in other subjects. •If you like art use diagrams to help you map out plans for essays. •Use storytelling to help remember processes like you need in science.

Putting Things Into Perspective If you put something into perspective you show that you realise or make others realise the importance/significance of the thing you are referring to. Alternatively, it means you put the thing into its correct place (or make it clear for you and others)

Tutorial Worship

There are two definitions for perspective... The art of representing three-dimensional objects on a two-dimensional surface so as to give the right impression of their height, width, depth, and position in relation to each other A particular attitude towards or way of regarding something; a point of view.

This Apple Video captures BOTH definitions...

Your Task... Create a motivational poster about putting things into perspective. See the next few slides for some inspiration.
