CLIL – an Efficient Introduction to Bilingual Education

Communication has changed

Doing business has changed

Education has changed

WE HAVE TO KEEP UP WITH THE DIFFERENCES IN ORDER TO MAKE PROGRESS

English is not a matter of affinity, it is a matter of necessity!

If we tend to be a part of a global society, do business in foreign markets, cooperate with foreign partners or continue our education and career abroad, we definitely and desperately need English!

What steps should we take to reach our goal? 1. Introduce CLIL (the first four grades of elementary school (7-10) ) 2. Introduce Bilingual Education (elementary school- older students (11-15) ) 3. Establish a continual and consistent approach introducing Bilingual Education in secondary schools (introducing projects, international cooperation (15-19) )

complex demanding inspiring creative coordinators a link between teachers and education

English teachers cannot do it alone!

We have to put vocabulary in a context link ideas discover the cause and present the result achieve the desirable outcome establish the educational system as a coherent whole with English as an ingredient ensuring the coherence

The only way to achieve the outcome is to *strengthen the cooperation between the teachers and *establish the correlation between the topics and subjects.

Starting with CLIL and continuing with bilingual education is the key to success.

Benefits Horizontal and vertical integration in education (linking topics, subjects, teachers, as well as primary and secondary education) Both student-centered and teacher-centered approach

Teachers professional development (a new productive strategy for the redundancy issue) Corresponds with the current open market tendencies and people migrations

English teachers are the link between modern and advanced approaches and techniques and education (its a demanding, but also a flattering role of a manager)

CLIL introduces a completely new perspective in education It enhances knowledge quality It strengthens understanding It improves teacher competence It ensures expected outcomes it also introduces a completely new and extremely productive approach to teaching process

EVERYTHING DEPENDS ON US WE ARE SUPPOSED TO MOTIVATE AND ENGAGE OUR STUDENTS AND COLLEAGUES
