Presentation transcript:

What are the key themes in Luke about the Kingdom of God? On your whiteboard: What are the key themes in Luke about the Kingdom of God?

On your big sheet: Fill in each box with revision of what happens in the parable. You can write, use pictures, include short quotes etc. It needs to make sense to YOU when you come to revise. How does each parable demonstrate the key kingdom themes?

Gradebook Assessments next week: 40 minutes at the start of Wednesday’s lesson. One question on each area: Ethics (meta), Islam (RGCs) and NT (Kingdom of God). One explore (AO1) One assess (AO2) One clarify (AO1 from the text)

Section B of the exam – anthology texts CLARIFY (10 marks AO1) ANALYSE (20 marks AO2) For Example: “Clarify the key ideas in the text about who can enter the Kingdom of God” You need to show a thorough understanding of the meaning of the text, and link it to what you know about the Kingdom more generally. “Analyse the claim that the Kingdom of God is already here” Using all your understanding of the arguments/ scholars, not just the passage in the text. But it will be on the same topic.

To prepare: Revise the topics! Look at your feedback from previous essays. Practise writing out the key points clearly. Practise writing out arguments for and against theories/ideas.
