Meet PacMan, the master of number crunching. Number Crunching Time! Meet PacMan, the master of number crunching.

Greater Than > Less Than < PacMan is here to help you learn how to use symbols to compare numbers. Greater Than > Less Than <

7 12 These symbols are like PacMan’s mouth. PacMan always wants to eat the biggest number he can find. 7 12 Smallest Number Biggest Number

31 is bigger than 13 so PacMan Here is an example. 31 13 31 is bigger than 13 so PacMan wants to eat the 31.

Now, on your Boogie Board, write these numbers and draw PacMan’s mouth facing the the greater number. 6 8

My mouth is open to eat number 8 because 8 is greater than 6! 6 < 8 My mouth is open to eat number 8 because 8 is greater than 6!

Try this one. 24 12

PacMan will eat the number 24 because 24 is bigger than 12! 24 > 12 PacMan will eat the number 24 because 24 is bigger than 12!

Now try a few examples on your worksheet. Remember, PacMan always eats the biggest numbers he can find.
