Weak Verbs A weak verb has one of the following One or more gutturals Full-letter vowel as the middle root letter A י or ו as the 1st root letter A נ as the first root letter Same letter for 2nd and 3rd root

Weak Verbs Weak verbs often drop a letter So you’ll have 2 root letters, instead of 3, to identify the verb Rarely, you might have only 1 root letter!

SO HOW WILL YOU BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY WEAK VERBS AND THEIR ROOT?

Weak Verbs 4 Easy Steps 1) Remove all prefixes and suffixes 2) Try a 1-נ, then a 1-י, then a 1-ה 3) Try a 2-וּ, then a 2-וֹ, then a 2-ִי 4) Try a 3-ה, then a 1-ל, then a geminate (same 2nd and 3rd root letters)
