Presentation transcript:

Thursday 2.12 Cryo recovery…. Access… RF cavity check (noise) Cav4B1. Problem was on electronics of cold compressor. Restarted around noon. Access… RF cavity check (noise) Cav4B1. Some noise could be produced with p+ frequency, but never long lasting noisy conditions. Beam as trigger? 8 bunch ion injection beam tested in TI2 and TI8. 9/3/2019 LHC 9:00 meeting

Today and weekend Ion source intensity was decaying rapidly – signaling end of life – refill needed. Decided to refill at 08:30. Beam could be back Saturday morning. Then: Resume beam OP with injection of 8 bunches (137 bunch schema). Program of the weekend will depend on recovery. Possible MD on Sunday: IR (1/2/5) aperture. 9/3/2019 LHC 9:00 meeting

On the list Low frequency (few Hz) oscillation on B2V Rogelio would be ready to take some data with the BPMs to see if we can localize the source. Acquire data during injection parasitically. Orbit FB tests at injection, 1 hour, Jorg Q’ feedback during a test ramp… R. Steinhagen IR aperture measurement Massimo, Stefano et al Damper investigations at 450 GeV gain/blow-up/multibunch data acquisition 4 hours 9/3/2019 LHC 9:00 meeting
