Swimming Yew Class – TUESDAY Mornings Chestnut class – FRIDAY mornings Larch Class - Wednesday Mornings

Timings – YEW & LARCH YOU should drop your CHILD at the kingfisher pool BETWEEN 8:50AM – 9:00AM (please stay with your child until the teacher has arrived) Your class teacher will arrive at the Kingfisher at approximately 8:50AM Children will be registered They will then get changed and will enter the pool at 9:30am

Timings – CHESTNUT YOU should drop your CHILD at the kingfisher pool BETWEEN 8:35AM – 8:45AM (please stay with your child until the teacher has arrived) Your class teacher will arrive at the Kingfisher at approximately 8:30AM Children will be registered They will then get changed and will enter the pool at 9:00am

What to Wear It is very helpful if your child wears their swimming costume underneath their uniform. They must wear school uniform. ABSOLUTELY NO JEWELLERY. Children will need their own towel and hair brush (optional). Please provide your child with a swimming hat and googles (This is kingfisher policy). Swimming costumes and trunks need to be practical – no long shorts with pockets, please (Kingfisher policy). No bikinis!

WHAT TO BRING Please Provide your child with a healthy snack – we will eat this when we get back to school. TEACHERS WILL BRING INHALERS FOR THE CHILDREN WITH ASTHMA. PLEASE MAKE SURE there is always one in the school office. Pack sun lotion if you need your child to reapply this on hot, sunny days. Time will be given to reapply at school.

Breakfast Club children If your child goes to breakfast CLub they will walk to the kingfisher with their teacher at approximately 8:00 AM (CHESTNUT) 8:15am (LARCH/YEW) – please make sure your child is at school for this time.

First Lesson Children will be assessed and put into ability groups according to their assessment. This is at the discretion of the kingfisher staff not the fern hill teachers. They can move ability groups. again this is at the discretion of kingfisher staff.

Parent helpers – MUCH APPRECIATED We will need parent helpers to walk children back to school after the lesson. Please let your class teacher know if you are available. USE THE SLIP ON THE LETTER. If there are enough parents offering, there can be a rota, so that you are not giving up your time every week.

Any questions?
