Today We Are Focusing on How to Improve Our Stories Step 1: Read the story Step 2:Underline all your verbs: do they repeat themselves? -if yes, change them by looking at a thesaurus -if no, ask yourself if they are active verbs (jump, tremble) or are they just verbs (walk, thought, said)

Today We Are Focusing on How to Improve Our Stories Step 3: Identify at least 3 uses of Literary Devices— underline it. If no literary devices are used, create them! Step 4: Capitalization -make sure you capitalized the names of people and places -make sure the first word after every period is capitalized -make sure the title of the story is capitalized
