Introduction to the break-out groups 2nd Eionet NRC workshop on Industrial Pollution

Aim of the break-out groups Consultation with countries on Further needs from countries (guidance, schema clarification, IT tools, etc.) Implementation constraints at country level Options for increased country involvement Consequences for voluntary reporters  Overall aim: gather feedback from countries to feed into an evaluation of options for the strengthening of the process for the development of the reporting framework

2. Implementation CONSTRAINTS at country level What are the activities or challenges that the countries are facing which can affect success of implementation at national level? Legislation (national / EU) Timelines Implementation of an operational system Process from data gathering to reporting IT implementation Testing phase …

3. Options for increased COUNTRY INVOLVEMENT How can we ensure that the reporting framework is fit-for-purpose without causing unnecessary burden? Task force ? main platform for further consultation on reporting framework? voluntary basis active contribution to e.g. guidance, IT tools What could be the task force’s role and the activities covered? Other options?
