The Seven Disciplines of Social Studies ???

History Refers to the study and interpretation of past humans, families and societies as preserved primarily through written sources.

Anthropology consists of the study of humanity and culture. Anthropologists have tended to concentrate on the seemingly more "traditional" institutions and customs of non-Western, often tribal, societies.

Geography is the study of the Earth's features and of the distribution of life on the earth, including human life and the effects of human activity.

Psychology involves the study of the human mind, brain, and behavior.

Sociology studies the social rules and processes that organize people in society as individuals and as members of groups.

Political Science concerning the theory and practice of politics and the description and analysis of political systems and political behavior.

Economics the study of human choice behavior and how it effects the production, distribution, and consumption of scarce resources. Economics studies how people seek to satisfy needs and wants through incentives, choices, and allocation of scarce resources.

Exit Ticket After reviewing your notes, in your own words, write down what you think each of these 7 disciplines has in common. (Besides the fact that they’re each a social studies discipline)
