The presence of genes was evaluated using the “Profile and Alignment” tool on the IMG/ER website using thresholds of 50% identity and an E value of 10−5. Genes that are present in all genomes of each species were saved as a set, put into the “gene cart,” and evaluated for their presence in the genomes of the other species.
