What is Google Analytics? Sheffield Hallam has a staff account for Google analytics which contains the analytics for all WordPress sites at the university.
Google Analytics permissions To access google analytics first you need to get the right permissions from IT. If you request IT to add you / other team members to the SLS Blogs sites within Google analytics.
How do I access Google Analytics First of all make sure you are logged into your Google drive account. Head to google analytics via Google or by going to https://analytics.google.com
Accessing your sites stats Go to Behaviour > Site Content > Content Drilldown Find your site
Changing the date range On the top of the content drilldown pages there is the option to select the date. You can choose the range of days you would like to view stats for.
Understanding data You can now compare the popularity of pages, views, time on pages, bounce rate and %exit.
