Mannitol-induced acute renal failure Kent Doi, MD, Naomi Ogawa, MD, Etsu Suzuki, MD, PhD, Eisei Noiri, MD, PhD, Toshiro Fujita, MD, PhD  The American Journal of Medicine  Volume 115, Issue 7, Pages 593-594 (November 2003) DOI: 10.1016/S0002-9343(03)00425-X

Figure Acute oliguric renal failure with severe hyponatremia appeared after mannitol infusion over 4 days. Renal dysfunction improved, and the osmolal gap decreased promptly after initiation of continuous hemodiafiltration (CHDF). s-Cre = serum creatinine concentration; s-Na = serum sodium concentration; UV = urine volume. The American Journal of Medicine 2003 115, 593-594DOI: (10.1016/S0002-9343(03)00425-X)
